The Ploieşti-Braşov highway could be completed in 3 years, but until then there are some projects to streamline traffic on DN1, the general director of the National Road Infrastructure Management Company (CNAIR), Mariana Ioniţă, announced this Sunday.
The official specified, in Digi24, that the offer submitted to review the feasibility study of the Ploieşti-Braşov highway project is currently being analyzed.
“The offer is now under analysis so that we can reach a contract that allows us to obtain good documentation to help us quickly implement the execution of the works. I don’t think we can see the Ploieşti to Braşov Highway running before 3 years. Until then, these days I spoke with the current leadership of the Ministry of Transport, Minister Drula and with the former management, Minister Bode. We have announced some projects that aim to streamline traffic on DN1, some steps and gateways ”, explained the head of CNAIR.
Solutions: underground passages and reversible lanes
Mariana Ioniţă considers that in areas with pedestrian crossings, underground passages should be designed to help speed up traffic, and in the case of other areas the possibility of introducing reversible lanes will be analyzed.
“When I talk about passages, we are now in the phase of signing design contracts. We were talking about the underground. In areas with pedestrian crossings, we must think about possible subways that will simplify, streamline and decongest traffic. I have put in my program as a project This sector of the road and the fluidization of traffic in DN1 are a priority, it is a pity that years have been lost.
We will also consider introducing a reversible lane in certain areas, where possible. I really want to see the Traffic Police, we plan ourselves on Wednesday, to discuss the situation in DN1. We have to do something next year, until construction begins. Think that the execution of the works will also create traffic jams, and we must take measures now to speed up traffic on DN1 as soon as possible, ”says the cited source.
