A week after an Iași County elderly woman buried her 51-year-old son, she returned home the same day the first vacation was arranged.
The terrible confusion that turned the two lives upside down came when a body was found in a river and relatives “recognized” the 51-year-old man, who, in fact, his mother reported missing, according to Ziarul de Iași.
Gabriel Luca lives with his mother in the commune of Costuleni. In October he left home because he had found work in another town, but he did not notify anyone.
After four days, worried, the woman went to the police and announced her disappearance. 45 days later, the body of a man was found in a river.
„The disappearance was registered on October 25. His body was found in the Jijia River in early December. Death was declared on December 6, after the deceased’s brother and niece were called to the morgue to identify the body. The clothes looked identical, they showed a little on his face, even if it was a little swollen. In fact, they didn’t see it much because they put it in a bag, it probably had been in the water for a long time “, the man’s mother said to the cited source.

Now the man is taking steps to cancel the death certificate. At the same time, the authorities must establish the true identity of the buried dead.
