Ion Cristoiu: From TVR you can smell the steak! The scandal, generated to change the leadership – News by sources

The publicist Ion Cristoiu affirms that the commotion generated by the program broadcast by TVR on New Year’s Eve for which the anti-Covid measures were ironic is only a pretext to change the management of public television in the beginning “let us come”, that it is nothing new. .

We reproduce in full the editorial published on cristoiublog.ro:

“TVR’s New Year’s Eve program caused a lot of controversy in certain parts of the press and politics. The deputy Iulian Bulai, from whose resume I understood that he spent his life moving from one country to another, depending on the missions, requested the departure of Doina Gradea, claiming that Mugur Mihăiescu’s sketches from Vacanţa Mare were a mockery of the Authorities, headed for the President, who have sacrificed and are sacrificing to defend us from the Coronavirus. Grigore Cartianu expressed his outrage that Klaus Iohannis was teased on TVR. The culmination was reached by Dorina Rusu, a person with no other merit in life than being the wife of the former NLP leader, Horia Rusu, handcuffed to the NAC by Klaus Iohannis, who announced to us, as always, that the aforementioned matter. As I say in my Video Journal, the rush of some to defend the honor of the President with their bodies made me see the moment in the program where Klaus Iohannis was parodied. When Ion Iliescu was president, the Divertis Group had made a name for itself by parodying it on television, including TVR. Ion Iliescu was not upset. I even remember that he was photographed with the actor who parodied him with great talent, Cristian Greţcu. A show at the Constantin Tănase Theater caused a stir at the satirical moment dedicated by Stela Popescu to Ion Iliescu. The day’s event at the time even made the cover with lyrics sung by the talented actress. Ion Iliescu doesn’t hold a grudge against him. On February 7, 2004, the then President of Romania, Ion Iliescu, awarded the actress the Order of Cultural Merit at the rank of Commander, Category D – “Performing Arts”. Compared to the wit with which Ion Iliescu was mocked during the presidency, the sketch for the TVR program struck me as a friendly pat on the shoulder. More and more, a decent joke.

Why did those who make up the USRPLUS chamberlain attacked the leadership of TVR?

Because the steak smell comes from TVR. Dorina Rusu, Grigore Cartianu and others like them have been waiting for the Center Right Coalition to come to power for more than a decade. They know that the coming of Ours means the passage of the steak from Them to Us. And all the word of mouth in defense of the honor of Klaus Iohannis is nothing more than handmade:

Remember, we are here, ready to make up for our years of ass licking.

Dorina Rusu certainly wants to replace Doina Gradea and Grigore Cartianu, News director.

Is there anything new after December?

The answer is given by the article published by me in “Evenimentul zilei” of November 9, 1996, under the title The Pitifelnicii have the impression that their time has come. We were after the parliamentary elections of November 3, 1996, won by the Center-Right Coalition and after the first round of the presidential elections, which had already announced the victory of Emil Constantinescu in the second. Those who I called with a famous nickname, the piitfelnicas already trembled at the smell of steak that came from all the institutions of the state, according to the beginning of their departure, our wine. At the time it was a red flag, fired by a journalist who had fought for six years with Ion Iliescu and the PDSR. The CDR-ization of the country, initiated in TVR, was a surprising reality in late December 1996. I realized that the time for the scoundrels had really come.

I read below the text of the Evenimentul zilei of November 9, 1996:

The scoundrels have the impression that their time has come.

A ceding of the country on the model of the infamous pedeserization operation would be a disaster for Romania, but also for the CDR-USD coalition. In order not to deceive the excessive expectations of the electorate, the new Power must strictly adhere to the principle of competition. During the seven years of the Iliescu regime, there were people faithful to the white sheets of the Opposition. However, this does not automatically mean that everyone is a good professional in their field of activity. Also, in the structures of the different institutions of the rule of law there are people who share political beliefs different from the CDR and the USD. This does not automatically mean that everyone is incompetent. To solve the great problems it faces, the new Power needs the contribution of all that is best at the present time from a professional point of view in all fields of activity. Therefore, it would be sheer suicide for the CDR-USD coalition if it repeated the sin of the old Power: promoting or changing people according to political criteria. Of course, Ion Iliescu’s thesis is, as I said before, a simple electoral demagoguery. It has no foundation in caring for the country or the new Power. It was launched in a distracting way, so that the re-election of Ion Iliescu would appear in the eyes of the population as a guarantee to avoid the danger of a purge for political reasons or for revenge. That this is a bad maneuver aimed at attracting votes by creating a new artificial danger is demonstrated by the astonishing speed with which PDSR and Ion Iliescu, artisans of the Romanian-Hungarian Treaty, began to shake the nationalist-extremist thesis of a so-called Hungarian danger. which would be the CDR-USD government and the election of Emil Constantinescu as president. The Romanian Constitution itself must be based on the truth that this is a bad move. Through his prerogatives, Ion Iliescu could do nothing, if he were re-elected as president, against a political purge. Knowing Professor Emil Constantinescu, I have every reason to believe that his solemn statement is sincere. That his reign will be constituted, if he is elected president, as a guarantor of an appreciation of the people according to the criteria of competence. You have this possibility not only as president of the country (if elected), but also as leader of the winning coalition in the parliamentary elections on November 3. In both my recent editorials and televised speeches, I openly support the election of Emil Constantinescu as president. If it happens that his reign does not keep his word, if a purge for political reasons begins in the state institutions, his reign will have a mortal enemy in me. That said, I would like to point out that, based on my statement, I understand not only that, President-elect, the CDR leader will not launch a purge himself for political reasons, but must also lead the fight against change in revenge, of the struggle to remain in the existing positions of the competent.

It is necessary to specify this, as far as possible, a series of scoundrels, unconscious or unscrupulous, began to agitate, without the knowledge of Emil Constantinescu, speaking on behalf of the new Power, all kinds of threats against some professionals. Therefore, I was surprised by the statement by the spokesperson for the TVR Free Trade Union, published yesterday in “România liberă” under the title “Messrs. Şoloc, Roşiianu, Fulea and Melinescu, prepare your luggage!” I am one of the people who has not stopped criticizing Romanian television for a moment, for seven years. Each time, however, I considered that some biased actions, in favor of Power, of this institution, do not have a cause in the people, but in the extraordinary pressures to which the professionals of the Television were subjected by those who directed the country during seven years. . Those irresponsibly warned by the spokesperson for the TVR Free Union – Paul Şoloc, Cornelius Roşiianu, Adrian Fulea and Nicolae Melinescu – are in my opinion excellent professionals. The coming to power of the CDR-USD should not mean the elimination of these professionals, who have been forced, in many cases, to violate their professional rules, but the possibility of exercising their competence in full freedom. Romanian television does not need purification, not the passage from one barricade to another, but absolute independence in relation to Power. The new majority coalition must ensure that this institution is completely independent of politics, including the politics of power. Under the same sign, of my obsession with promoting competition at all costs, I cannot help but notice that in the government and presidential newspapers, in the positions of spokesmen for the different institutions belonging to the old Power, there are also outstanding professionals. In case some irresponsible scoundrels try to knock you off, I invite these professionals to come work for the newspaper they run. I solemnly promise that I will do my best to ensure that no pen practitioner is so far persecuted for his political convictions. In the field of journalism, I think everyone notices, it matters, above all, not political beliefs, but above all talent. We have too few talents in the press to allow ourselves to lose, in this hour of change of power, under pressure from some scoundrels.> “
