“It should be noted that today we have 13,200 vaccinated people and, another very important thing, the vaccination activity began in a relatively small number of vaccination centers. There are about 47 vaccination centers that have been active these days, starting with those 10 medical centers on line 1 ”, declared Valeriu Gheorghiţă on Saturday night on Antena 3.
He announced that most of the vaccination centers will start operating on Monday.
“As of Monday, January 4, the activity will begin in more than 90% of the 370 vaccination centers for medical personnel, which should provide us with a real picture of the vaccination rate in Romania. I believe that the number will be much higher and we will be able to cover in a relatively short time, at least until mid-January, most of the medical and social personnel, which makes us as real as possible, from the second half of January, let’s start the vaccination for the second stage of the Vaccination Strategy, starting with the vaccination of people in residential dormitories, in medical-social centers ”, Dr. Valeriu Gheorghiţă also specified.
When asked how many people will be vaccinated daily, Gheorghiţă explained: “From January 4-5 to January 6, we should have at least 20,000 people vaccinated per day.”
The vaccination campaign against the coronavirus began on December 27.
