A 10-year-old girl who sang Christmas carols died on New Year’s Eve after being struck by a car driven by a 23-year-old man. From the first investigations, it appears that the girl crossed illegally.

A 10-year-old girl from Bradu, Argeş County, died after being hit by a car. The girl was going to sing Christmas carols to her neighbors and was hit by a car, while crossing the street illegally, based on the first information presented by the local police. Due to the extremely serious injuries, death was found.

The minor, who was unconscious, was taken by a medical team to the hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, the doctors could do nothing for the girl and declared her death.

The police have opened a criminal case

The 23-year-old driver of the car was tested with the breathalyzer and the result was negative. The police have opened a criminal case in this case and are continuing investigations to determine the exact causes of the accident.

A criminal file was drawn up according to art. 192 of the Penal Code, and the verifications continue, in order to establish all the circumstances in which the road event occurred.
