Doctors speak of a slightly favorable evolution of the pandemic in Romania

The number of patients in intensive care units remained constant and, even if the number of tests has large variations from day to day, the situation in hospitals indicates a favorable trend of the epidemic in Romania.

The intensive care doctor Radu Țincu told Digi24 that he hopes, however, that in the next 10-12 days there will be an increase in the number of infections, as a result of the holidays, but that this could be reduced.

“The number of daily tests varied a lot, which makes a correct analysis impossible, but in ATI the number of hospitalized patients remained constant.

We did not see increases in patients needing ATI, given that in many areas of the outbreak, hospitals were overcrowded.

We are talking about a slightly favorable evolution, most likely due to compliance with protection measures. However, after the holidays, everywhere there is a slight tendency to increase infections, which will probably manifest itself in Romania, because in those periods, people reduce surveillance.

In 10-12 days we will probably see an increase, I do not expect it to be significant, because people have understood that simple sanitary measures can control the pandemic ”, said Radu Țincu.
