A man is suspected of killing his sister after hitting her on the head with an object. The suspect was immobilized by the police and taken to the police headquarters in Bucovăț. The crime took place at the home of the victim, reports MEDIAFAX.

According to the Dolj police inspection, police officers from the 3rd Bucovăț Rural Police Station were notified on Monday that a 51-year-old woman from Țuglui commune had been killed by her brother in her home. The 48-year-old man suspected of committing the crime, from Țuglui commune, was found by police near the house. The suspect was immobilized and transferred to the police headquarters.

A complex team of police officers from the Dolj Criminal Investigation Service and the Dolj Forensic Service rushed to the scene. Investigations are being carried out under the direct coordination of a prosecutor from the Public Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Dolj Court, establishing that the man in question allegedly hit the woman several times on the head with a hard body, possibly with an ax.
