A 26-year-old nurse, Mihaela Anghel, became the first Romanian to be vaccinated. He has been working at the “Matei Balş” Institute for four years and chose his job after an operation for appendicitis, according to Mediafax.

Mihaela Anghel cared for the first SARS-CoV-2 infected patient in Romania and was the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

She is a nurse at the National Institute “Matei Balş” and on Sunday she received the immunization serum.

Mihaela Anghel has worked as a nurse for 4 years, she is from Dâmboviţa, but lives 30 kilometers from Bucharest.

He commutes to work every day.

She says she chose her job since she was little, after being operated on for appendicitis.

“I was between 8 and 9 years old, but since then I have said ‘done, this is my job and I will not change it’. And I got here. I think that when we have to choose our profession, we have to feel that this is what we really want and that is what I feel and I didn’t see myself doing anything else. And I wouldn’t change anything that I do, “Mihaela Anghel told Aleph News.

At first, Mihaela worked tirelessly. He was on duty at Christmas and now takes a short break, but only sees his loved ones with the negative test in hand.

Mihaela says it affects the majority of young people who arrive at the hospital in serious condition.

“We believe that we could be in their place. This is the disease and we cannot stop it when we want and how we want. We simply learned to take energy and we think that if we also break down emotionally we will not get anywhere and we will no longer be able to treat patients” says the nurse from “Balş”.

She believes the vaccine is saving everyone.

“I think so. I hope everyone believes this because we are tired of this. It is very difficult,” Mihaela Anghel also said.
