425,816 patients were declared cured.
After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 7,365 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Distinguished from newly confirmed cases, upon retesting of already positive patients, 1,169 people were positively reconfirmed.
How many people have died in the last 24 hours
Until Wednesday, 12,821 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection died.
Between 08.12.2020 (10:00) and 09.12.2020 (10:00) it was reported 161 deaths (90 men and 71 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța hospitals , Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vâlcearest, Vaslui, and Bucav.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 14 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 38 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 65 deaths in the age category age 70 to 79 years and 43 deaths in the category over 80 years.
155 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities and for 6 deceased patients, no comorbidities were registered.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,430. Of these, 1,271 are hospitalized in ATI.
How many tests have been performed in the last 24 hours
Until this date, at Nacional level, have been processed 4,325,130 tests. Of these, 31,458 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 20,394 according to the definition of case and medical protocol and 11,064 upon request.
On the territory of Romania, 43,582 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at homeY 11,821 people are in institutional isolation. Too, 66,572 people are quarantined at homeY 105 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 8 of this year, 4,000 penalties for minor offenses, which amounts to 628,730 lei.
Likewise, the competent structures of the Police found, on Tuesday, 3 crimes to thwart the fight against disease, deed provided for and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,914 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,056 in Germany, 167 in the Mar UK, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 7,439 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
As of Tuesday, 12,660 people diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 infection had died.
In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,571. Of these, 1,276 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 4,293,672 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 29,151 were performed in the last 24 hours, 19,176 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9,975 upon request.
Counties with the highest SARS-CoV-2 infection rate. Ilfov is in first place
The contagion rate with the new coronavirus remained, on Tuesday, at 7.32 in Ilfov county, while in Constance it fell to 7.13 per thousand inhabitants.
According to the latest report sent by the Strategic Communication Group, Ilfov county remains in the first place in the country in the infection rate with 7.32, and Constanţa county registers a decrease of 7.21 per thousand inhabitants to 7.13.
In Bucharest, there is an increase in the incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection from 6.34 to the previous report to 6.56 cases per thousand inhabitants.
The Ministry of Health announces the establishment of 900 vaccination centers against Covid-19
The ministry announced Tuesday the establishment of some 900 vaccination centers against Covid-19 in the next period, and this week will see the completion of their number nationwide.
According to a statement, so far 302 vaccination centers have been identified in health units to initiate the immunization of medical personnel and 597 centers in other areas, outside the health units for vaccination stages II and III, according to the strategy vaccination against Covid. 19.
In total, some 900 centers will be created, according to current data, and their number at the national level will end this week.
The Public Health Directorates have until December 9, 2020 to present the final information on the identification of the spaces where the vaccination centers will be established, but also on the human resources that will be involved in the formation of the vaccination teams.
The decisions were made after a videoconference, which the direction of the National Coordinator of vaccination activities against COVID-19 supported with representatives of health departments, to verify the status and organization of the vaccination centers.
The National Coordinator of Vaccination Activities against COVID-19 is an inter-ministerial body, without legal personality, reporting directly to the General Secretariat of the Government and the coordination of the Prime Minister.
