In the last 24 hours, 7,365 new cases have been registered, out of 31,458 tests performed. Another 161 Romanians died after being infected with coronavirus, while in ATI the number of hospitalized COVID patients decreased slightly, to 1,271 cases.

To date, on December 9, in Romania, 532,040 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

425,816 patients were declared cured.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 7,365 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Here is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

To date, 12,821 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 08.12.2020 (10:00) – 09.12.2020 (10:00) 161 deaths were reported (90 men and 71 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in the hospitals of Alba, Arad, Argeș , Bacău. , Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorjiu Harghita, Hunedoram, Ialomița, Sibiău, Ialomița, Ialomița, Ialomița, Ialomița, Televacea , Timiș, Tulcea, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

To date, 4,325,130 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 31,458 were performed in the last 24 hours, 20,394 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 11,064 upon request.

In Romania, 43,582 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 11,821 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 66,572 people are in home quarantine and 105 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 4,148 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 723 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 8 of this year, 4,000 penalties for minor offenses, worth 628,730 lei.

Likewise, the competent structures of the Police found, yesterday, 3 crimes for frustrating the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,914 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,056 in Germany, 167 in the Mar United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
