The Ilfov Public Health Directorate admitted having made a mistake when calculating the incidence of cases of COVID-19 infection in this municipality, due to the existence of an “error in the computer program”, which initially yielded a value of 3.41 cases per thousand inhabitants when in reality it would be 6.89 cases / 1000 inhabitants.

“As a result of the finding of the decrease in incidence in Ilfov County, on 11/29/2020 a verification of the data entered based on the Ilfov DSP and used to calculate the daily incidence was performed,” is shown in a DSP statement Ilfov.

“After verification, it was found that there was an error in the software used to calculate the incident, an error that was corrected during the day. After recalculating the data, the incidence in Ilfov County is found to be 6.89 cases per 1000 population, ”says DSP.

Last week, eight towns in Ilfov County (Otopeni, Mogoşoaia, Corbeanca, Dobroeşti, Măgurele, Popeşti-Leordeni, Chiajna and Bragadiru) were quarantined following the decision of the Ilfov County Committee for Emergency Situations. Previously, two other towns in Ilfov, Clinceni and Berceni, had already been quarantined.
