In the last 24 hours, 5,554 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, out of 16,225 tests carried out. Another 148 Romanians died after being infected with coronavirus. 1,250 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in the country’s intensive care units.

To date, on November 29, in Romania, 471,536 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 348,852 patients were declared cured.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 5,554 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test. The county breakdown of the total and new cases can be found in the table below.

To date, 11,193 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 28.11.2020 (10:00) – 29.11.2020 (10:00) 148 deaths were reported (86 men and 62 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Bihor, Botoșani, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dolj, Harghita, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Prahova, Sălajrest, Timi, Bucaiu Ilfov.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category of 10 to 19 years, 1 death in the age category of 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths in the age category of 40 to 49 years, 11 deaths in the category of age 50 to 59 years, 31 deaths in the age group 60 to 69 years, 67 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 32 deaths in the age group over 80 years.

147 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities, and 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,200. Of these, 1,250 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date 4,097,782 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 16,225 were performed in the last 24 hours, 9,877 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol, and 6,348 on request.

In Romania, 48,541 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 11,978 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 69,194 people are in home quarantine and 68 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3,652 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 28 of this year, 7,420 penalties for minor crimes, worth 1,355,816 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 6 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,914 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,056 in Germany, 167 in the Mar United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
