In the last 24 hours there were 7,753 new cases of COVID-19, out of 30,740 tests. The death toll is increasing, another 196 Romanians have died after becoming infected with coronavirus. A new registry of COVID patients admitted to ATI. In the last 24 hours, their number has reached 1,204.
To date, on November 24, in Romania, 430,605 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
304,188 patients were declared cured.
Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 7,753 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
Aside from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 1,253 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 10,373 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 23.11.2020 (10:00) – 24.11.2020 (10:00), 196 deaths (129 men and 67 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iașicue, Tulmanurecea, Vashedișa Telerest, Tulmanurefoheișa, and Vasa Telerest .
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 0 to 9 years, 8 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 28 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 47 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 61 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 51 deaths in the category of over 80 years.
184 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 9 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 3 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,667. Of these, 1,204 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,939,421 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 30,740 were performed in the last 24 hours, 19,069 based on case definition and medical protocol and 11,671 upon request.
In the Romanian territory, 46,501 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 12,688 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 79,304 people are in home quarantine and 13 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 6,062 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1,047 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 23 of this year, 6,979 penalties for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,240,813 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 5 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.
The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,864 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,935 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 United Kingdom , 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.
Among Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
