“From my point of view, these people no longer have to be in office, but all legal means must be followed. These people didn’t do their job. There is a government decision that says you have to close the market if you cannot fold the windows. When the prefect came to Câmpulung last week to bring two containers for the hospital, I asked him to go to the market to see if a solution could be found. And I thought I’d take out two rows of front windows and two rows of rear windows so we could do the air flow and keep the merchants inside, it would have been inhumane to take them out. We’ll put even more air heaters on them to keep them civilized. This decision had to be respected. And on Sunday, when I was at the market, there were no local police, there was no one at the entrance with disinfectants, with a thermometer. Also, only one row of windows was removed. Basically, only air enters. The Câmpulung Muscel market chief had to close the market until all the rules were followed, and he did not. It’s about people’s health. The Local Police did not do their job either, I found a confused local policeman somewhere near the square ”, declared Elena Lasconi for Adevărul.

The mayor of Câmpulung Muscel also claims that last week the mayor’s secretary called the head of the central market several times to ask if he had disinfectant and thermometers. And the market manager told him that he had everything he needed, a fact refuted by reality. In addition, there was an indescribable disorder in the central square, as Elena Lasconi says. “Both the head of the central market and the head of the Local Police ignored the government’s decisions, they ignored the local authorities. They both did things by ear under the principle that it works like this … The head of the central market has been in office for 15 years. There will also be a disciplinary committee. We do not play with people’s lives. The central market will reopen on Monday, November 16 after all measures have been taken. We have to follow the rules and make things work. I am not prepared to hurt people. If people work legally, they will find in me a super partner, they will be the happiest employees, ”adds Elena Lasconi.

The mayor of Câmpulung Muscel also made a Facebook post on Sunday about the measures taken, and the post quickly went viral, gathering more than 5,000 likes, comments and distributions, the vast majority of people congratulating Elena. Lasconi for the measures taken.
