He is cared for in the best conditions, because the hospital it is one of those that has the highest standards regarding the treatment of large burns, “said Ludovic Orban, on Sunday, at a press conference, after attending the meeting organized at the National Center for Coordination Leading the Intervention.
The prime minister added that he again called on all the factors involved to strongly support the investigation carried out by the Attorney General’s Office into the fire in SJU Neamţ.
“During the morning, at 10.00, I had a meeting with the ministers Marcel Vela, Nelu Tătaru, the head of DSU Raed Arafat, other responsible factors involved in the situation, in the wake of the tragedy in Neamţ. I requested the full support of the investigation carried out by the Attorney General’s Office to establish those responsible for the tragedy that occurred in Piatra Neamţ. We again called for greater mobilization to ensure the health protection measures we had, both at the national and local level. We have requested the additional mobilization of human resources, to support public health departments and ambulance services that are being tested, ”added Orban.
Ten patients died as a result of a fire that broke out in the Intensive Care Unit of Piatra Neamţ County Hospital on Saturday. Seven other people, including the doctor on duty Ioan Cătălin Denciu, who tried to save the sick, were injured. The doctor was transferred to the Military Hospital “Queen Astrid” in Brussels.
