Seven of the 37 county councilors and six of the 27 local councilors of the Craiova City Council, elected after the September 27 elections, were not validated by the courts, after the majority resigned their mandates in the first phase, due to various reasons. and one was expelled from the party, Cristian Mihail Negulescu, PMP candidate for president of the Dolj City Council.

In addition, the court ordered the invalidation of the county councilor terms for: Cosmin Vasile (PSD), who resigned because he won the office of chairman of the Dolj County Council; Ion Prioteasa (PSD), former chairman of the Dolj County Council, who resigned because he is running for first place in the Senate for the PSD; as well as for Mihai Firică (PNL), Secretary of State in the Ministry of Culture, Laurenţiu Ivanovici (PNL), the manager of the Craiova County Emergency Hospital, Deputy Florinel Stancu (PRO Romania), Octavian Marinescu (PER), and they renounce their mandates. The court also annulled the mandate of Mihail Cristian Negulescu (PMP), the PMP candidate for the position of president of the Dolj County Council, who, according to some political sources, was expelled from the party. In fact, Negulescu appealed the Dolj Court’s decision to stand trial on November 2, so until then the new Dolj City Council cannot be summoned by the county prefect.

In Dolj, PSD obtained 16 terms of county councilor, PNL – 13 terms, PRO Romania – three terms, PMP and PER, two terms each.

At the same time, the Craiova Court annulled the mandates of local councilor Lia Olguţa Vasilescu (PSD), who won the post of mayor of Craiova, for NLP deputy Nicolae Giugea, for NLP senator Mario Ovidiu Oprea, for Mihail Genoiu, the incumbent mayor of Craiova, for Adrian Cosman (PSD) and Antonie Solomon (PER), who resigned. The court ordered, in a first phase, the validation of 21 of the 27 local councilors: from PSD: Dan-Ştefan Spânu – Vice President of the Association of Magistrates of Romania, former judge, Sorin-Nicolae Dinescu – Vice-Rector of UMF Craiova, Dorel Berceanu – vice-rector of UCV; Lucian-Costin Dindirică; Gheorghiţa-Daniela Barbu; Radu Marinescu; Marin Nicoli; from NLP: Adriana Ungureanu, Cosmin Ion Corâţu, Marian Vasile, Dan Diaconu, Georgel Enescu, Flavius ​​Adrian Sirop and Teodor Nicuşor Sas; from USR-PLUS: Lucian-Bernd Săuleanu, Cezar Drăgoescu, Nicu Cosmin Teodorescu, Manuel Borţoi and Eduard Cîrceag; from PER: Sorin Octavian Marinescu and Constantin Mogoşanu.

The validation of the mandate of mayor of Craiova by Liea Olguţa Vasilescu was challenged in court by Petru Becheru of Craiova, alleging that “the absolute majority of the residents of Craiova do not want their mayor, given that more than 65% of the valid votes issued were in favor of other candidates “, and the court’s decision is not final.

Dolj Prefecture has not summoned the new CL Craiova until now. After the September 27 elections, out of the 27 terms of local councilors in CL Craiova, PSD obtained 10 terms, PNL – 9 terms, USR-PLUS Alliance – 5 terms and PER – 3 terms.
