“In the autumn of 1989, on the occasion of the feast of Saint Demetrius the New, on October 27, the communist authorities prohibited the worship of the holy relics. (…) This humiliation of the pious Saint Demetrius the New was rewarded in the sense that in a few months the communist regime fell. (…) God is not fooled! He has been patient for a long time, but he is also right, “said Patriarch Daniel in a speech delivered on Tuesday at the party. of Saint Pious Dimitrie the New, Protector of Bucharest, on the Summer Altar near the Patriarchal Cathedral.

This statement was made in the context of the restrictions decided by the authorities on pilgrimages this year, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pilgrimage to St. Dumitru was carried out in compliance with strict health and social distancing measures, being open only to those who live in Bucharest. Similar restrictions were decided in Iasi, on the occasion of the Feast of the Pía Parascheva, at which time the Patriarch described the measures as discriminatory and disproportionate, accusing the fact that the Romanian Orthodox Church was not consulted.

In an editorial published on the republica.ro website under the title “Satan in cassock”, CTP writes about the Romanian Orthodox leader who is “lower” than the priests of Thebes and accuses the BOR leaders of “singing them in the ropes to Ceausescu ”.

“Millennia ago, Egyptian priests scared people by predicting that Amon Ra, the sun god, would hide his face in the middle of the day because people did not worship him enough and his incarnation on Earth, Pharaoh, the future mummy. On the scheduled day, the sun was darkening, people fell to their knees, moaning desperately, but the priests begged Ra to forgive his slaves and enlighten them again, which is what was happening ”, begins his editorial Cristian Tudor Popescu .

The journalist then denounces the veiled threat of the Patriarch: “His Eminence Daniel, the leader of the BOR, shows that Romanian orthodoxy remained at the level of the Egyptian cult a few thousand years ago. In fact, even lower down, because the priests of Thebes knew at least enough astronomy to calculate the time of eclipses. To deceive people, the charlatan Daniel does not need mathematics or logic – he gives it directly, as a cry for the cattle that herd them: listen to what I say, because he prohibited the pilgrimage to the relics of Saint Demetrius in October 1989, Communism fell in a few months. Post hoc, ergo propter hoc – afterwards, therefore, because. According to him, that is what the government will do now in the December elections. “God is not fooled!” Said the fisher of people with the prostovol “.

“God, no, but can the souls of the dead be mocked for not submitting to the communist beasts, Blessed One? The bodies of the victims of the diabolical regime of Ceausescu and Dej, culminating in those who were killed for freedom in Timisoara and throughout the country, don’t they make black under the fingernail at the foot of Saint Demetrius, baths, friends of man ?, asks the Patriarch of the CTP Daniel rhetorically.

Cristian Tudor Popescu later accused the BOR leaders of being allies of the Communists and kept silent about the abuses. “The staff of the Romanian Orthodox Church was an ally of Kill him Toaca under communism. It was even Evil itself: the satans in cassocks piously poured into the Securitate the believers who confessed to them, they did not say a word about all the crimes of the regime, the destruction of towns, the demolition and expulsion of churches, i- sang the strings to Ceausescu until the last moment: on December 19, 1989, the BOR sent a letter of thanks to the dictator, glorifying him more as Jesus Christ. And he called the martyrs of Timisoara hooligans ”.

“God had a difficult mission that was mocked in San Demetrio: to overthrow communism, while his army of traitorous potatoes in Romania was against him …”, concludes CTP.
