Another 3,855 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours in Romania. The COVID-19 balance in Romania reached 209,648, according to data published this Sunday by the Strategic Communication Group. In the last 24 hours, another 73 deaths were recorded and 828 patients were admitted to intensive care, the highest number since the start of the pandemic.

Until today, October 25, in Romanian territory, they were confirmed 209,648 of cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID – 19). 149,741 patients were declared cured.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 3,855 new cases.

To date, 6,391 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 24.10.2020 (10:00) and 25.10.2020 (10:00) it was reported 73 deaths. 71 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 1 deceased patient, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 10,482. Of these, 828 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,055,989 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 19,292 tests 11,948 were carried out in the last 24 hours, based on the case definition and medical protocol and 7,344 on request.

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 54 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until October 25 were reported.

In Romania, 26,043 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 9,907 people are in institutionalized isolation. Additionally, 55,355 people are in home quarantine and 51 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,851 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19, of which only 797 were declared cured.
