Coronavirus Romania, September 19, 2020. As of Saturday, 111,550 people are infected with the new coronavirus in Romania.
The balance announced by the Strategic Communication Group on Saturday indicates 1,333 new cases of infections in Romania.
A new record of infections reported in 24 hours was recorded on Wednesday.

“Until Saturday, September 19, in Romanian territory, they confirmed 111,550 cases of infected people with the new coronavirus (COVID-19).
89,119 patients were declared cured.
As a result of the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 1,333 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The county breakdown of total and new cases can be found in the following table.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 665 people were positively reconfirmed. The county distribution of these cases can be found in the following table.
To Saturday, 4,402 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection died.
Between 18.09.2020 (10:00) and 19.09.2020 (10:00) were registered 42 deaths (21 men and 21 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bacău, Brăila, Călărași, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj , Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Vaslui and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 40 to 49 years, 6 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 12 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 15 deaths in the age category of age 70 to 79 years and 8 deaths in the category of over 80 years.
All deaths were in patients with comorbidities.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 6,996. Of these, 461 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 2,210,071 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 23,030 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 14,305 based on case definition and medical protocol and 8,725 on request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 1,118 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until September 19 have been reported.
In Romania, 11,845 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 6,013 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 38,818 people are in quarantine at home and 7 people in institutionalized quarantine ”.
