The president of the PNL, Ludovic Orban, criticizes the governments that have administered Romania for the last 12 years, accusing that the project of a road connecting Baia Mare with Hungary, started in 2008, during his tenure in the Ministry of Transport, not yet completed. . He criticizes the mayors, of whom he says “they say they raised the money especially to pave the campaign.” “But paving is not enough. In vain you pour asphalt on the streets, if you don’t have a belt,” says the PNL leader, reports News.ro.
In his speech on Saturday night, during an electoral rally in Baia Mare, Ludovic Orban spoke about the Petea – Satu Mare – Baia Mare expressway project, started in 2008, when he was Minister of Transport and not yet finalized.
“I said that if the Romanian government agreed with the Hungarian government on such a project, I said let’s start working. I rolled up my sleeves, ran a contest, signed the feasibility study contract, signed the technical-economic documentation at a government meeting, and prepared the money for 2009 to build that fast track. This was the case in 2008. (…) Unfortunately, from 2008 to today this expressway has not been built. If the PNL had been voted then, that fast track would be ready for five years, “said the prime minister.
In this context, Orban argued that people should choose wisely, not those who “promise the moon in the sky and give them drum dust.”
He also spoke about the mayors who pour asphalt but without having a vision, giving the example of the municipality of Baia Mare, where the streets were paved, but there is no detour from the city.
“I only say this about Baia Mare: it can be more, it can be cheaper, it can be better, it can be faster and it can be more respectful to people not to imagine that if something was done in Baia Mare – that we do not deny that it was done. something in Baia Mare – someone else couldn’t have done it. (…) It is not enough to pave or put … in the campaign, I am not saying that the asphalt has already started, you say that the money was collected especially to pave the campaign. But paving is not enough. In vain do you pour asphalt on the streets, if you don’t have a belt. Because all the asphalt that you pour on the streets will be dusted by all the heavy traffic that Baia Mare passes through if you don’t make a belt, for example. Vision is needed here, “the prime minister added.
Ludovic Orban participated on Saturday, in Maramureş County, in the launch of Mircea Cirţ’s candidacy for Baia Mare City Council. of NLP.
