In the last 24 hours, 1,365 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, out of 23,973 tests performed. Most of the new cases are in Bucharest, where nearly 200 coronavirus infections have been reported. The capital is followed by the counties of Bacău, Bihor and Iași.
According to data transmitted by the Strategic Communication Group, the number of COVID-19 cases has doubled in Bucharest from yesterday to today. In addition, there was an explosion of coronavirus infections in Bacău County, where in 24 hours there were 115 new infections. There are only two counties that reported fewer than 10 cases: Botosani and Ialomita.
Between 02.09.2020 (10:00) – 03.09.2020 (10:00) there were 44 deaths (27 men and 17 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Buzău , Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Harghita, Iași, Maramureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.
