Bistriţa Mayor Ovidiu Creţu was found with COVID-19 after an on-demand test and is hospitalized at the County Emergency Hospital (SJU) in the city. According to the mayor’s spokesman, Mihai Ruşti, the mayor was working on Monday, but, as of Tuesday, the prerogatives will be assumed by one of the deputy mayors, reports Agerpres.
“The mayor has informed us that he is on sick leave and that Deputy Mayor Gelu Muthi will take over his prerogatives during this period. We will do everything that the Directorate of Public Health sends us. At the moment, we have no sign of the direction. “So we have no reason not to work,” Ruşti told AGERPRES.
The manager of SJU Bistriţa, Gabriel Lazany, specified that Mayor Ovidiu Creţu appeared personally at the hospital to be tested for COVID-19, on Monday, and is currently hospitalized in the medical unit.
