Residents of Habrovsk, a city about 6,100 kilometers east of Moscow, have been protesting weekly since the arrest of Sergei Furgal on July 9, following murder charges against the people’s governor of the region.

Furgal’s supporters denounce the arrest as a political decision.

During the demonstration, they denounced, through messages inscribed on posters, the “repression” and the “dictatorship” and demanded the release of Furgal and his return to Khabarovsk.
