The deputies of the Legal Commission were summoned, on Wednesday, for a new meeting, due to some errors in the law that provides for the establishment of a state of alert in Romania.
Therefore, an amendment that was adopted at the initiative of PNL introduces fines for facts that are provided in articles that have already been removed … also by them.
In other words, the deputies establish sanctions for acts that do not exist.
The law was amended Wednesday morning, establishing sanctions for those who fail to comply with restrictive or quarantine measures during the alert period.
For this reason, plenary of the Chamber of Deputies it was suspended until the end of the meeting of the Legal Commission in which the report will be modified.
On the other hand, the Legal Commission of the Chamber of Deputies adopted another amendment proposed by PNL, which stipulates that the law on the establishment of a state of alert comes into effect as of the publication in the Official Gazette, despite the provisions of the Constitution.
The Senate approved on Tuesday, in plenary session, formulating several amendments, the Government’s bill that includes the measures for the alert situation, which will be instituted after the cessation of the state of emergency.
