The scandal occurred at the Bucharest General Council meeting in which the project was approved by which the Capital City Council, through ASSMB, will reimburse the tests in state and private clinics, in the first phase, for 11,000 residents of Bucharest who voluntarily enroll in the project “We test for Bucharest”.
Councilwoman Stelian Bujduveanu stated that Gabriela Firea “said that this project is not similar to those through which coupons were offered, but in the title it sounds like this.”
“From our point of view, as a NLP group, we cannot support such a project, as it looks more like an electoral bribe than a project that would help the citizens of Bucharest,” said Bujduveanu.
The mayor general’s response came immediately.
“Beyond your already-known impudence of saying electoral bribes for a necessary project for the population, I could also tell you that the ministers go out on television every night and bribe the citizens with all kinds of promises, but I will abstain here because you you have neither the political experience nor the desire to help people, “said Firea.
After an hour of heated debate, the bill was passed with 30 votes in favor, six against and 11 abstentions.
