Despite the fact that the smartphones launched by LG in 2020 have kept the design outdated from 2-3 years ago, it still seems that the promise of the CEO of LG earlier this year related to the update of the range of phones is starting to take shape, LG Velvet being an excellent example of it.
LG Velvet comes with a new aesthetic, almost radically changed, fresher and more suitable for the period in which we are. In the front area we have a selfie camera framed in the form of a drop of water, very narrow edges and a 21: 9 screen aspect. In the back we have a simple and pleasant design, with a vertical positioning of the photo sensors and decreasing according to the size of each sensor, and on the side we find that LG will implement the concept of 3D arc design, that is, curved shapes on both sides of the device.
The new LG smartphone will be officially announced next month as a mid-range 5G smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor (one of the most popular processors at the moment for both manufacturers and users).
Personally, I really like the aesthetic line adopted by LG, the only drawback I sell is the positioning of the front camera. I would have opted for a pop-up mechanism or as a backup option in the fine polka dot style, located somewhere on the left / right side.
