Former soccer player Valentin Podean, who played for Politehnica Timişoara in the season of the showdown with Real Madrid in 1992, passed away at the age of 49. He was killed by the coronavirus, writes ProSport.

According to the local publication Redeşteptarea, Valentin Podean was infected in the hospital, where he was going to receive dialysis.
