UPDATE 19:55 Statement from Neamț County Hospital: “On Saturday night, around 6.30 pm, at Piatra Neamț County Emergency Hospital (SJU), a fire broke out that affected the ATI department, where 16 patients were hospitalized in two wards. In this point seven of the patients have died and the eighth is in critical condition.

The other patients can no longer be cared for in the ICU and all necessary steps must be taken to transfer them to other hospitals.
