Curtis Sittenfeld’s best-seller explores a world in which the former Secretary of State never married Bill Clinton.
Hulu continues to explore the world of Hillary Clinton.
The streamer is partnering with The case co-creator Sarah Treem will adapt Curtis Sittenfeld’s best-selling novel Rodham like a scripted drama series. The potential series is currently in the development stage on Hulu, backed by Disney, which means it would still need a formal order for the series before moving beyond the script stage.

A modern parable about elections, feminism, and why the United States has such a complicated relationship with women in power, Rodham It tells the story of an ambitious young woman who developed her extraordinary mind in the latter part of the 20th century, moving from idealism to cynicism and all the way back.
Should Rodham Moving on, it would be Hulu’s second HRC-focused series. The transmitter also teamed up with Clinton to Hillary, a four-part docuseries featuring interviews with the former presidential candidate and dozens of her friends, colleagues, journalists, and family. That series was launched in March with great enthusiasm after its debut in January at the Sundance Film Festival.
Treem will write the script and executive producer Rodham, which is being produced by Fox 21 Television Studios. Rodham It is the first project to emerge from Treem’s general agreement in November with Disney’s cable and broadcast studio. Warren Littlefield will be an executive producer through his Fox 21-based Littlefield Co. Sittenfeld will also be credited as an executive producer alongside Littlefield and Treem.
Treem, who said goodbye to the Showtime drama The case Last year, next year has the Hedy Lamarr drama starring Gal Gadot. The limited series was originally developed for Showtime and recently moved to Apple with an eight-episode series order. (A release date has not been determined.)
Treem left his lifelong home on Showtime for a Fox 21 deal last year after The case He concluded his five-season career on the premium cable network. One month after, Hollywood reporter detailed allegations of former Affair Ruth Wilson says she left the series after the fourth season after what she claimed was a toxic environment on set. Treem denied the allegations.
Rodham would join a scripted list of Hulu that includes The Handmaid’s Tale, The Great, Ramy, Dollface, The Orville, Retaliation, Shrill, Solar Opposites, Wake and Love victor among others.
