Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda honors late father’s 69th birthday by donating to homeless shelters


Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda is proud of her late father.

As an actress, Williams announced that, in honor of what would have been her father’s 69th birthday, she would be donating to various homeless shelters.

“Today would have been Dad’s 69th birthday, so to honor him (and that glorious number), I will donate $ 69.69 to as many local homeless shelters as I can,” Williams, 30, wrote on Twitter. “Join me if you want, but anyway, I know I wish you all at least an immature, stomach-chuckling laugh from Dad today.”

In a series of follow-up tweets, Williams revealed a number of charities to which he had sent donations.

The list of organizations included, the LGBT Center in Los Angeles, the Union Rescue Mission, PATH, GLIDE, the LGBT Center in San Francisco and the Midnight Mission.

In one of her tweets, the “Were the World Mine” actress noted that her charges may seem a little suspicious on paper.

“Also, my credit card company is going to think something is very wrong soon,” he joked. “Ahead!”

After making several donations, Williams told fans that he actually heard of his credit card company.

“Welp, I received the ‘suspicious activity’ email, so I will have to slow down by 69 and talk to a robot for a moment,” he tweeted. “I’m going to be off social media again for a while [sic.] (as I do annually), but thanks for joining me today in honor of Dad (and number 69). “

The star added: “… it was ‘nice’.”

Robin died in 2014 from suicide at the age of 63. The coroner’s report stated that he suffered from Lewy body dementia, while his wife said he had Parkinson’s disease.
