The trailer for Netflix’s new thriller The Devil All the Time has convinced fans that Robert Pattinson deserves an Oscar for his performance – and the film has not even been released yet.
The 34-year-old English actor transformed his accent to play corrupt preacher Preston Teagardin in the Southern Gothic drama based on the 2011 Donald Ray Pollock novel of the same name.
The cool trailer leaves the film’s plot largely in mystery, but many viewers have already referred to it as a triumph after getting a taste of Pattinson’s hypnotic Southern Drawl.

In the rural area of southern Ohio between World War II and the Vietnam War, the film follows Arvin Russell (Tom Holland), a hurricane young man who is plagued by his past and the sinister characters that lurk in the city.
The trailer makes Pattinson cry over delusions as he delivers a passionate sermon in a powder blue suit and ruffled shirt.
