Riverdale star Lili Reinhart confirms big change for season 5


Riverdale star Lili Reinhart has confirmed that the upcoming fifth season of the drama will have a seven-year leap, meaning the main characters will eventually not be teenagers.

The actress confirmed the enormous change as she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, saying that work will begin on season five as soon as they have completed the work on season four that they should stop as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Now, we’re taking the first few episodes to complete season four, technically,” she said. “And then, season five, we actually do, I believe, a time of seven years in the future. That we will no longer be teenagers.”

Lili’s co-star and former friend Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead Jones Riverdale, confirmed earlier this week that the pair split in March.

“What an incredible experience I had, I will always feel happy and cherish that I had the chance to fall in love,” he wrote in an Instagram tribute to Lili.

“I wish her nothing but the utmost love and happiness ahead. Everything I say about it, everything you hear does not matter.”
