RHP U receives Darwish in blockbuster trade with Pedres Cubs

CHICAGO – Aggressive San Diego Pedres acquired U Darwish in a blockbuster deal with the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night to trade for another big hand.

Pedres received cash from the Cubs to Darvish, catcher Victor Karatini and right-hand Zach Davis and four young underage Laguers. Switch-hitting Karatini caught Darwish in Chicago and batted .241 with 16 RBIs last season.

Davis went 12-4 for San Diego this year with a 2.73 ARA and 7-4. The package of prospects leading to Chicago includes Owen CC, an 18-year-old outfielder who was selected by Pedres in the second round of this year’s amateur draft.

The 8-year average was 8-3, with 121 out of 2.01 ARA epidemics starting in Chicago in the short-term season, finishing second in the NL Sai Young Awards race. He has three years and 59 59 million left over $ 126 million, a six-year deal he signed with the Cubs before the 2018 season.

San Diego also completed Tuesday’s big trade with Tsempa Bay with the Cass left-hand black snail. The 2018 AL Young Award winner was sent a redemption from Reese for a four-player package: right-wing Luis Patino and Cole Wilcox, and Francisco Magia and Black Hunt – all honorable youngsters of the San Diego system who have been stocking the farm for years.

Pedres made placements this year for the first time since 2006, but his injury-loss rotation stopped when the postseason came. World Series champions Los Angeles Dodgers have won their N.L. They beat St. Louis in the first round before getting into three division series games by West rivals.

Mike Clevinger, acquired from Cleveland in August, is not expected to return from Tommy John’s surgery by 2022, but Pedres has other quality starts in Danielson Lamet and Chris Paddk. Left-handed header Mackenzie is one of the top pitching prospects for Gore Bezab.

Darvish is in the midst of a career revival after Shargo struggled after arriving in Chicago. He was limited to eight starts and 40 innings in 2018 due to injuries. He started to regain his form in 2019, posting a 2.76 ARA with 118 strikeouts in 2/3 innings in 81 from his final 13 starts.

He made the same this year from where he departed, helping the Cubs win the NL Central title. The right-hander attributed some of his changes to a more deliberate return to the style he hired when he was a star pitcher in Japan. He has also developed a rapport with Keratini that could help him transition to San Diego.

Four years after the historic World Series of Championships, Chicago has returned to the presidency of Jade Hoyer, who was sworn in as president of the Besb .L operation after Theo Epstein resigned in November. Veteran outfielders Kyle Schwaber and Albert Almora Jr. were allowed to leave on December 2, but Darwish Deal is the team’s biggest move since Hoyer took office.

There could be more trade on the horizon. All-star slugs Chris Bryant, Javier Base and Anthony Rizzo are eligible for agency fee after next season. The Cubs will still be able to argue even when Hoyer hit the roster due to the cost-cutting environment around NBL Central.

Minor League subconscious Reginald Presidado, 17, and Yesan Santana, 20, and outfielder Ismail Mena, 18, were also acquired by the Cubs in the Darwish trade.
