Bravo is looking to make some important changes with the Atlanta Real Housewives to emit. Rumors have already circulated that OG Nene Leakes has been fired. There are also rumors about the return of Phaedra Parks. A new report now alleges that Bravo is in talks to add Oscar-winning comedian and actor Mo’Nique to the cast.
Current suspicious changes with ‘RHOA’
After three seasons on the show, Eva Marcille chose not to renew her contract for next season. She spent most of season 12 arguing with Leakes and Porsha Williams, and the reunion turned out to be the last straw for the former model. With Marcille missing, Bravo elevated Yovanna Momplisair to a full-time cast member. Nene Leakes’ former close friend cut ties to the OG after feeling Leakes throw her under the bus regarding the snake door.
Phaedra Parks is also rumored to be returning. She was fired after lying about Kandi Burruss planning to take advantage of Williams. Buruss has promised to leave the program if Parks returns.
Mo’Nique is reportedly in talks to join the ‘RHOA’ cast
The blogosphere has been filled with insider information alleging that Bravo had had enough of leaks and fired her as a result. Leakes released a statement through her attorney denying the rumors, and Bravo did the same, explaining that no final decisions have been made. Despite that, fans of the show believe the writings are on the wall and that Leakes will not return or be demoted. Last season, she appeared in fewer episodes.
According to Media Take Out, Bravo executives are in talks with Mo’Nique to join the show in Leakes’ absence. The Oscar winner and her controversial managing husband, Sidney Hicks, are said to be interested.
“[Sidney] is negotiating with Bravo to have Mo’Nique join the show. Nothing has been done yet, but if Bravo opens his pockets, we will all see Mo’Nique on the show, ”a source told the store.
The network is said to have been attracted to Mo’Nique because of his Hollywood resume, forthrightness, and great personality.
Mo’Nique would add stellar power to the show, as the only other Hollywood actor who has been a full-time cast member is Kim Fields. Fields participated in Season 7 and faced Kenya Moore. The other cast members also felt that she was not a good addition to the show because she seemed to have a superiority complex. Fields left the program after one season.
