The case of Sushant Singh Rajput has become obscure with new details appearing every other day. The latest update comes from the Enforcement Directorate, as Rhea Chakraborty has been called back for questioning. According to the latest reports, the actress was called on April 10 for another question. Her brother Showik Chakraborty was questioned by ED officials last night and left the office only on Sunday morning at 6:40 p.m. He was grilled for about 18 hours.
For the uninitiated, the ED Sushant’s bank account transactions, money laundering angle, two companies in which Rhea and Showik were directors, and properties of Rhea. According to a report in Republic, officials also took a backup of data from two phones of Rhea Chakraborty and one phone of her father Indrojit Chakraborty.
Like the FIR of Sushant’s father KK Singh, Rhea, Showik and others are accused of conspiracy, cheating and abtment to suicide among other prosecutors. In addition to the ED probe, the mysterious death of Sushant was also investigated by the Bihar police and Mumbai police. However, following last week’s Supreme Court hearing, the case has now been taken over by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI, on the other hand, has reported that its probe has begun and took a transfer of documents from the Bihar police.
