The popular Playstation 4 video game “The Last of Us II”, a survival horror sequel to the 2013 original, has received moans from some segments of its fan base for pushing an obviously awakened agenda, from LGBTQ issues to the denigration of masculinity.
Writing in Evie magazine, Zoey Carter, a self-taught gamer, explored the various threads of the game’s plot and how they finally led the player to conclude that the creators had a political agenda to promote extreme moral relativism by making all the characters likable they will end up dead. , mutilated or alone while the unpleasant characters escape without a Scotch. Joel is brutally beaten to death with a golf club by a torn and masculine woman named Abby, a name that will live on in video game infamy. Joel had rescued her from certain death moments before she murdered him.
Not only are you forced to play as Abby just before the brutal scene … you are not only forced to look at Ellie … but after Joel’s body is smashed to the concrete floor, a character whose face follows the model of Neil Druckmann, the game director, Spits on Joel’s corpse. This moment is maddening, but worse, anyone who has played the first game knows that Joel is completely out of place to follow a stranger to a crowded hideout he doesn’t know. Later on, we see Joel again in flashbacks, which are possibly some of the best scenes you experience while playing as Ellie.
Beyond Joel’s death, almost all the male characters in the game either die or are hopelessly humiliated, like the character Tommy, who “ends up partially paralyzed and blind, and his wife leaves him.” With the denigration of masculinity comes a useful portion of LGBTQ sermons.

As Carter pointed out, critics and players have been virtually divided in their receptions for “The Last of Us II”. In Metacritic, the game enjoys a rating of 94 among critics compared to a score of 4.8 among players.
