Release of ‘Breath of the Wild 2’ tease by retailer

After more than a year of silence, Nintendo may have some news to share about the upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.

The French computer and game retailer World Trade & Technologies (WT&T) has all leaked the fact that there will be one BotW 2 Collector’s Edition, and part of the leak includes the European price tag of 82.85 euros. The placeholder listing for the future Zelda game was first tracked down by the Nintendo news site Loot Pots on Tuesday and came days after several trusted Nintendo insiders plagued the possibility of a presentation from late August to September.

WT&T did not disclose much other than the fact that there will be a premium version of it BotW 2 and its price. The site has mentioned the game’s release date on “December 31, 2020”, but this is probably a placeholder, as the retailer is waiting on Nintendo to confirm the actual release date of the game, which has not yet been posted.

This is not the first time gamers in the US have reported WT&T. The tech and games store is best known for earlier leaks that Nintendo and CD Project Red have been working together on a port of The Witch 3: Wild Hunt to the Nintendo Switch in late December 2018. That turned out to be true when the RPG was announced for the hybrid console eight months later, which lends some measure of credibility to this new leak, while we further suggest that a BotW 2 update could be just around the corner.

The cryptic BotW 2 trailer that debuted at E3 2019 was the first and only thing Nintendo revealed about Link’s next open world adventure. The company announced that the title was actively in development, but has not provided any updates since.

That lack of information has led fans to speculate and try to decipher every little detail placed in the E3 trailer. But they were soon able to get some closure.
