A new one Red Dead Redemption 2 en Red Dead Online leak hints that a long-awaited gameplay feature is coming soon, likely after both the story mode and the online parts of the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadium game of 2018. In a recent update for RDR2, Rockstar Games added some interesting files to the games. More specifically, there are now new files that directly refer to a “director mode.” Well, this is not the first time that files in the game point to this mode, but these are brand new additions. In other words, it does not appear to be the remaining files.
For those who do not know: Director Mode is a gameplay mode that Rockstar Games first introduced in 2015 Grand Theft Auto V next to the Rockstar Editor. In other words, when Director Mode comes up, it would mean that the Rockstar Editor is as good as the two go together.
With the mode, players can select a single actor from a variety of categories, including animals and characters. In other words, with the update, players would be able to control Arthur’s entire band, minus Jack Marston, who seems to be unplayable, probably because he’s a kid.
Director mode is likely to happen. It appears that Jack Marston is not a playable character according to this new mention in the files. This new entry was left in ‘ambientpedmodelsets.meta’ of the Naturalist update.

Although data mining leaks are typically quite reliable, they can sometimes be misleading and unintentional. In other words, remember to take everything here with a grain of salt.
At the time of publication, Rockstar Games has not commented on this leak as the possibility that Director Mode is coming RDR2, and at this point it is unlikely that it will.
Red Dead Redemption 2 en Red Dead Online are available via PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadiums. At the time of release, no word of the game has come to PS5 and Xbox Series X, but it is expected that these next-gen ports will be in the pipeline.
