Kansas City, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs added some potential punches to their ongoing game on Thursday as P ve P back Levine Belle announced on social media that he would join the defending Super Bowl champions.
Bell, who was unveiled by the New York Jets earlier this week, will sign a one-year contract, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schaefter.
He narrowed down his choices to the Chiefs, Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bill, Fowle reported early Thursday.

Jets play in the main week 8.
Belle will have to go through a five-day test of the Covid-19 before joining the Chiefs, as per league protocol, so he will not be available to play on Monday, while the Chief will visit the Bills.
Running 119 yards per game, the 4-1 Chiefs are 13th in the league and 10th in 4.5 yards per carry. But his best work in running game came in Week 1, when rookie Clyde Edwards-Heller ran for 138 yards and won the Houston Texans.
Since then, the Influencers have been ranked 19th in the league in running (108 yards per game) and no running back touchdowns.
Chief started running after Damien Williams before the start of the season when he opted for the Covid-19 reason. They also have Darrell Williams, Darwin Thompson and Dandre Washington running behind.
The Jets released Bell on Tuesday, ending a frustrating 19-month tenure. Bell, who arrived in 2019 as a marquee-free agent, never clicked with coach Adam Gas, who opposed signing from the start.
Frustrated by his lack of involvement in the crime, Belle met with gas and general manager Joe Douglas on Monday, a source told ESPN’s Rich Simini. They told Bell they would explore a trade and allowed his agent to talk to other teams.
The bat, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, was disappointed after signing a four-year, 52 52.5 million contract with the Jets last year, averaging 3.3 yards with the Jets – an average of st1 among NFL qual qualifiers during that period.
In 17 games with the Jets, Bell ran for 863 yards and three touchdowns. He was damaged by a system that did not meet his power as a normal line play and versatile player.
The Jets are responsible for the remaining 6 6 million on Bates’ 2020 base pay, but there is a set faucet clause that will be overruled by the amount of pay on the new contract with the chiefs.
Bell, 28, joined the Jets after sitting out the entire 2018 season after receiving a franchise tag for the second year in a row from the Pittsburgh Steelers. After acquiring nearly 2,000 total yards in the 2017 season, Bell chose to close the 14.5 million franchise tag in 2018 – which went to about 5 855,000 per game – so he could maintain his long-term viability for a big contract in free agency.
After the 2017 season, Bell showed his conviction by rejecting a 5-year, 70 70 million offer from the Steelers, which led to him claiming a સા 17 million lower true guarantee, and he missed the games because he would not sign and therefore not be on the team Bound.
In five seasons with the Steelers, Bell ran for 5,336 yards and 35 touchdowns. He also got 312 receptions for 2,660 yards and seven scores.
