Ravens-Steelers postpone Thanksgiving matchup due to Coved-19

“The decision was made with great care to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and sports day staff and to consult medical experts,” the NFL said in a statement.

No kickoff time has been announced for the game yet.

Ravens announced Monday that several members of the organization have tested positive for coronavirus, and that all team activities will take place virtually. Those members immediately began self-quarantine, and the team began the contact tracing process.

“We commend the NFL for its hard work in ensuring the well-being of players, coaches and staff from the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers organizations,” Ravens said in a statement. “In addition to most of our communities, protecting the health and safety of each team is very important. We will continue to follow the guidance of the NFL and its medical experts, as we focus on starting safe safety for Sunday’s game.”

Some members of the Steelers expressed frustration with the Steelers over the decision to postpone the game on Twitter. Receiver Chase Clapool “What a joke ….”
“First the NFL takes our bye time because the other team can’t get their cowardly situation together, now for the same reason they’re snatching our Thanksgiving primetime game.” Smith-Schuster Wrote.

The NFL is losing its coolest match on Thanksgiving, as the AFC will have two heavyweight primetime games on Thursday evening.

The Houston Texans at the Detroit Lions are scheduled for 12:30 p.m., and the Washington Football Team at the Washington Las Cowboys at 4:30 p.m., and it’s scheduled for tomorrow.
