Update 2 [Sat 2nd Jan, 2021 04:45 GMT]: Expected issue of edge spotlighting Hollow Knight: Silksong Now available.
The post on Reset Era shared some highlights. Unfortunately, there is no release date yet, so keep an eye on it in the future. There are some other interesting details.
– Team Cherry’s next game will not be Hollow Knight related
– Team Cherry like Shadow’s Castlevania Lords!
– Hornet has the ability to perform tasks for the NPC, keep track of the tasks you’ve completed through noticeboards around the farloom
– Do not replace the Organic Quest line from the first Hollow Knight.
– Instead of saving Grubbs from jars, you will now save fleas, which trap themselves in small debris.
– Hornet’s tastes can be fully customized, easily changed to reflect your game style.
– Trying to make the game accessible to new players, but it also matches the difficulty of the original game.
– ‘Tricks’ like sting shards, pimpilo bombs, straight pins, can form in benches of shards collected from defeated enemies.
– The aim of the game is to climb Citadel, but there will be ‘lots of land’
– Hollow Knight composer Christopher Larkin returns
– Start the game after losing a lot of your power
– PC and switch only on launch, release date TBA.
Team Cherry also notes how hornets are usually more acrobats (via Sports Raider):
“A hornet can travel very fast, it can jump higher, it can cover or buttermilk on shelves, it’s usually more acrobatic. So you have to expand the caves around it to accommodate its height.”
And the enemies of the new entry are even more practical than Hollow Knight:
“The characters in this game, it’s a kind of step where it doesn’t seem quite right for them to be easy. For example, they have amazing ways to chase you, keep up with you, or avoid your attacks.”
