New details are emerging about the stunning dress Queen Elizabeth gifted Princess Beatrice to wear on her wedding day, a joyous moment that captivated the world during a particularly challenging time.
In a highly symbolic move that reflects the close bond between grandmother and granddaughter, Beatrice had planned to wear one of Her Majesty’s dresses from the beginning; It was not a last minute decision, as some reports have speculated.
The Queen offered Beatrice a selection of a selection of dresses, and the entire process was overseen by Angela Kelly, Her Queen’s Personal Advisor and Curator (The Queen’s Jewelery, Insignias and Wardrobe). Royal dressmaker Stuart Parvin also played a central role in the adjustments, including the sleeves Beatrice wanted to add, suitable for a traditional church wedding.
Beatrice was married in a private ceremony last Friday at the Royal Lodge, a property located in Berkshire, England, just a few miles from Queen Elizabeth’s residence at Windsor Castle.
The dress, which the Queen gifted Beatrice in a moving moment, was designed by Norman Hartnell, the same designer who created Queen Elizabeth’s own wedding dress. In addition to the new organza sleeves, the dress features diamond embellishments that adorn the geometric bodice. The ivory brown taffeta Peau de Soie dress was worn by the Queen multiple times during the 1960s, including at the 1962 charity premiere of “Lawrence of Arabia”.
For her wedding shoes, Beatrice opted for Valentino’s sparkling ankle strap shoes, which she had worn for two other royal weddings, including Kate Middleton and Prince William in 2011.
In another sign of love and affection, the Queen decided to loan her granddaughter the Queen Mary diamond fringed tiara, which Elizabeth herself wore on her wedding day in 1947. The Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne, also wore the tiara for walking down the hall. in 1973
Kelly, one of the Queen’s most trusted confidants, put the tiara on Beatrice’s head before walking down the aisle for the elegant, graceful and socially distant ceremony.. It was an appropriate role for Kelly, who has been at the center of many important moments in royal fashion.
In The Other Side of the Coin, The Queen, The Dresser and the Wardrobe, take the reader inside the Buckingham Palace work rooms to understand the symbolic weight of design and the coordination of HM’s outfits to enhance the perfection his extensive duties. Along the way, one learns how traditional royal dress codes have been subtly updated and polished to iconic status.

Queen “, FN Editorial Director Michael Atmore wrote in tribute to Angela, his close friend. “The result has been tremendously successful by any measure, placing Her Majesty in a fashionable stratosphere that is hers and hers alone.”

How to pop a bean yourself, according to the advice of Dr. Pimple Popper
Insider producer Celia Skvaril’s video chatted with Dr. Sanda Lee, also known as Dr. Pimple Popper, to get her professional advice on how to pop a bean at home. While Lee does not recommend that people exploit their own pimples, pimples are a habit that many struggle to quit smoking. Since much of the world stays at home, people don’t see their dermatologists and beauticians regularly and may be struggling with a higher-than-normal urge to touch their skin. Lee offered advice on how to best minimize the risk of scarring and more infections by popping your own pimples, such as trying to pop only shallow pimples and properly sterilize the pimple and tools before and after popping. Following Lee’s advice, Celia attempted to burst her own white head at home. For more information on Dr. Pimple Popper, visit: https://slmdskincare.com/ https://www.instagram.com/drpimplepopper/
