Queen + Adam Lambert will release their first album ‘Live Around the World’ together

Queen + Adam Lambert first took the stage together in 2009 when Lambert was still a American idol competitor. And after seven years of officially joining around the world, the joint party will finally release its first album in 2020.

While COVID-19 forced them to postpone their UK and European Rhapsody Tour across nine countries until next summer, Lambert, Brian May and Roger Taylor still plan to go Live Around the World – just in various physical formats.

“When we couldn’t tour this year, we wanted to give the fans something instead, and a live album just felt good,” Lambert said in a press release. “It’s the first time we’ve released an album together and we’ve had a lot of fun putting it together, and choosing favorite shows over the last seven years.”

Their first live album will appear on October 2 in CD, CD + DVD, CD + Blu-ray and vinyl formats, with hand-collected concert highlights brought together from around the world of more than 200 shows. And all formats will include the band’s full 22-minute Fire Fight Australia preview show from February 16, one of their last shows before the worldwide lockdown, when they aired Queen’s historic 1985 Live Aid set throughout re-released: “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Radio Ga Ga,” “Hammer To Fall,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “We Will Rock You,” and “We Are The Champions.” They also featured late frontman Freddie Mercury. his “Ay-Ohs” hallmark.

While we all wrestle with the challenge of creating live shows in a world dominated by a formidable viral enemy, it seemed like the perfect time for us to create a collection of hand-picked live highlights from our Queen shows in the last 7 years with our brother Adam Lambert, “May said in a press release. “It’s a first! While you watch and listen to these tracks, you will travel with us around the world and experience a full virtual live set. The collection climbs earlier this year in Sydney when we, in support of Fire Fight Australia, we re-created the entire Queen Live Aid set, it was a historic event for a great cause – with perhaps the highest adrenaline level since the original Live Aid in 1985. It makes me especially happy that we are having this unique moment now with the the whole world can share. “

The scheduled 27-date UK and European Rhapsody Tour of Queen + Adam Lambert has been restored to start on 23 May 2021, in Bologna, Italy, including a 10-day stay at the London O2 Arena in June and ending on 7 July before a final concert in Madrid, Spain.
