PS4 adding expired PSN feature

Sony Interactive Entertainment has added a feature that was long overdue to the PS4 console. More specifically, Sony has revealed that PlayStation 4 and PSN now allow two-step verification through authentication applications. The feature is not yet available, but it will be implemented in an upcoming PS4 update. Two-step verification has been available for a while, but is only available by SMS. In other words, there is no two-step verification for authentication apps, which is something that PS4 users have been asking for since the option was first implemented.

For now, it’s unclear when the feature will be available because it’s currently unclear when the next PS4 update will be released, but we know it’s currently in beta, and that excludes any changes based on beta feedback, it will do the following:

  • When starting a party, you can now choose to create a new group or select an existing group. When you create a new group, it will be saved even after the party is over. You can start a new party with the same members by selecting the group you created earlier.
  • You can now use your group between people and messages. You can send messages to a group that you created for a party or start a party with a group that you have sent messages with.
  • Messages have been added to the screen during the holidays. When you select messages, you will see the messages exchanged between the members of your group.
  • The public / private settings of the parts have been removed. Only group members can join the party.
  • You can now change your party settings from the options menu displayed on the screen when you select the party. You can also manage your group’s connection settings when you select[PartyVoice[PartyVoice[PartyVoice[PartyVoice
  • Chat Connection]that has been added to the party settings.
  • Members of your group can now see when your microphone is muted.
  • You can now join groups, even if there are members you have blocked. When you join a party with a blocked member, or when a blocked member joins the party, you will receive a notification. During the party, they will not be heard, and the game they are playing, as well as their Share Play status, will not be shown. Also, the blocked member will not be notified that they have blocked it.
  • Play Together sessions can no longer be started during a party. For online multiplayer games, you can start a game session in-game.
  • Communication with other players and viewing of content created by other players have been combined and are now communication and user-generated content. If you selected “Not Allowed” for any of the settings, the same settings will carry over after the update.
  • Mute all microphones has been added to the quick menu in sound / devices. This setting mutes all microphones connected to your PS4.
  • You can no longer create parties from the Community area. You will have to create a group at a party.
  • You can no longer create a new one even in Events: Events created before the update will still take place, and events and tournaments hosted by game developers will continue to take place.
  • For some functions, the content displayed on the screen has changed, as well as the screen layout.
