Fans of the former Suits actress may know that before Meghan Markle was the Duchess of Sussex, she had a huge social media presence. The former actress regularly posted on her personal Instagram account, and ran the now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig. However, few people know that Prince Harry was also active on social media before meeting her son’s future mother.
Finding Freedom, an upcoming Sussex bio from reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, alleges that Prince Harry used a private Instagram with a very exclusive watchlist.
The account had a Deadmau5-themed identifier and was following only four people.
Shortly after Harry and Meghan’s first date at Soho House’s Dean Street Townhouse in London, the book says Meghan started following the Instagram account. @ SpikeyMau5.
The account is currently private and has only one follower.

However, it is unclear if Harry currently uses it.
According to the authors, Mr. Scobie and Ms. Durand, SpikeyMau5 is actually Prince Harry’s alias.
The book says, “Without a visible face in the profile picture, just a mouse-shaped helmet, it wouldn’t have meant anything to most people. But it was actually Harry’s private account.
“A huge fan of house music, he created the pseudonym using part of the name of one of his favorite DJs, Deadmau5.”

The authors also claimed that Harry’s lesser-known nickname was also behind the account identifier.
They added: “Spikey came from a Facebook alias that Harry used for an account he had under the name Spike Wells.
“‘Spike’ was a nickname sometimes used for the prince, particularly by Scotland Yard officers.”
However, this Facebook account is now reportedly extinct.

While Harry’s Instagram was private, Scobie and Mrs. Durand allege that Meghan sent Harry their own romantic message through their own post the night of their first date.
That night, he shared “a photo of a Love Hearts candy with the inscription ‘Kiss Me’ and the caption ‘Lovehearts in #London’.”
“If it made sense to someone else, Harry understood the message,” the authors said.
The book also claims that Harry and Meghan secretly got engaged months before they told the world they were getting married.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously recounted how Prince Harry proposed to the former American actress during a roast chicken dinner in November 2017.
However, the couple’s unofficial autobiography, Finding Freedom, said the couple got engaged much earlier in August 2017.
Prince Harry is said to have asked the question during a romantic trip to Botswana.
However, during their engagement interview with the BBC, the Duke and Duchess recalled a very different proposition in which Harry knelt down on a “cozy” night.

Meghan told BBC presenter Mishal Husain that it was “sweet, natural and very romantic” and just a “typical standard night” for the couple.
She said, “It was just a cozy night, what we were doing just grilling chicken and having …”
Harry interrupted his wife and ended his sentence, saying, “Roast a chicken, try to roast it.”
Meghan said, “Trying to roast a chicken and just, an amazing surprise, it was so sweet, natural and very romantic.”
