Prince Charles married Princess Diana in what was called the “wedding of the century” in 1981. Their ceremonial was expected by 750 million people around the world. But the actual day she said that her vows were not one of the happiest for the bride.
One of the late princess’ confidants revealed why Diana said she felt a “lamb before the slaughter” at her wedding and that it had to do with Camilla Parker Bowles.

Camilla was a guest at the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana
Camilla and Princess Diana were no strangers before the former had an affair with the future king while he married his first wife.
The wives actually met after Charles introduced to Diana and were often families of Camilla and her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles. Charles and Andrew also got along well despite the fact that Camilla had the prince prior to their marriage. The Bowles couple scored an invitation to the royal wedding when Charles asked if Andrew would serve on the security team that day.
‘I knew [Camilla] was in there, of course. I was looking for her, ‘Diana said in her audio tapes to biographer Andrew Morton in 1991.’ As I walked down the hallway, I saw Camilla, light gray, dyed pillbox hat, saw it all, her son Tom standing on a chair. To this day, you know – life memory. ”

The Daily Mail notes that former BBC correspondent Jennie Bond met Diana over the years and became one of the princess’ confidants. She revealed what the royal told her about how she felt after seeing Camilla in church.
“Diana told me much later in one of our private conversations that she felt like a lamb before the slaughter as she walked along the corridor, which is very sad, but I think she knew things were not going well,” he said. Bond in the documentary Charles & Camilla: King and Queen in Waiting. ‘When she saw Camilla in the church, she was immediately alarmed. ‘
That’s because just before the wedding Diana found a bracelet that Charles had bought for Camilla. The discovery devastated the bride-to-be, to see her there a few days later in St. Paul’s Cathedral was hard to take.
Not happy yet
The marriage of the Prince and Princess of Wales is perhaps stupid from the start. But, according to Diana, things really fell apart after her second son, Prince Harry, was born when she became aware that her husband and Camilla were resuming their affair.
In 1992, Charles and Diana divorced. They divorced four years later.
Princess Diana died after a car accident on August 31, 1997.
On April 9, 2005, Prince Charles married Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
