Princess Diana’s backing dress ‘disappeared’
After her death in 1997, Diana’s brother took care of her dress. When her children, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, were old enough, the dress became part of their confidence. So that leaves the other two dresses.
The duplicate was finally exhibited at the Madame Tussauds wax museum in London. And no one is sure what exactly happened to the backing dress.

According to the designers, it featured a simpler version of the design in which the audience saw Diana. After the royal wedding, Diana’s backing dress disappeared.
“It was hanging in the studio for a long time and then it disappeared,” Elizabeth Emmanuel once said. “I don’t know if we sold it or stored it. It was a very busy time. I’m sure it will appear in a bag someday!

Diana had reservations about marrying Charles. In fact, they both wanted to cancel their royal wedding in the days leading up to the ceremony.
