Prince Philip was born into royal families in Greece and Denmark. His family left Greece in 1922 and settled in Paris after his uncle, King Constantine I, was ousted.
While attending school in Scotland in July 1935, Prince Philip was dressed for the production of “Mabbeth”.
Prince Philip is the youngest and only son of five children. After his parents divorced in 1930, he was sent to England, where he was raised by his mother and uncle.
