Prince Charles’ bond with Harry is said to be strong despite the new book about the bombing of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who made fresh claims about her departure from royal life. The heir to the throne is in regular contact with his youngest son, who lives in the US.

A source said: “They have a very strong and close father and son relationship.

“Many people have speculated that the book was the end for Harry and Meghan in Britain.

“Too many people were criticized and too many people were attacked, including William and Kate.

‘But the Prince of Wales has made it clear that the door is always open.

“Since his move to Los Angeles, they have been in regular contact.

“Charles is not a coveted user of texts, but there are videos and phone calls.

‘The book has never been a massive talking point between them and Charles is certain that it is not an obstacle.

“He has provided financial support, as any father would do if their son moved with a young family to the other side of the world.”

They end sensational royal duties earlier this year in a move called Megxit.

New book Finding Freedom by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand has brought fresh accusations of a decline in relations between the Sussexes and other members of the Royal Family.

Claims include that Clarence House was “crushed” when Harry confirmed his relationship with Meghan in November 2016, which dominated the news cycle and took the spotlight from Charles and Camilla’s Golf Tour.

The book also claims that Harry was surprised by his older brother Prince William’s “snobbish” attitude towards Meghan.

By March, the Sussexes and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were barely speaking, according to the book.

The book also claims a secret website that was revealed by Meghan and Harry when they announced plans to step down as senior royals in January the Queen “hurt”.

And being told to operate under the umbrella of Buckingham Palace after splitting the Cambridges’ family was “a huge disappointment” for Meghan and Harry, according to the book.
