Biden, Harris’ first joint interviews will be published on ABC tonight at 8 p.m.
Former Vice President Joe Biden raised questions about his age in an exclusive interview with “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir, saying he could “absolutely” serve two terms in the White House if elected.
‘His campaign has called you’ reduced ‘. And I envy how you would react to that, “Muir said, urging Biden to repeat President Donald Trump’s repeated attacks on his mental fitness.
“Look at me. Min. President, look at me. Look at us both. Look at us both, what we say, what we do, what we control, what we know, what kind of form we are,” Biden said, referring to his Vice President, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif.
‘I think it’s a legitimate question to ask anyone over the age of 70 whether they are fit or not or they are ready. But I just, only thing I can say to the American people, it’s a legitimate question to ask everyone. Watch me, ”Biden Muir said during a joint interview with Harris in Wilmington, Delaware.
Biden would be 78 on Inauguration Day – the oldest president ever elected as successful in November. Biden called himself a transition candidate, but when Muir pressed him on what that meant, Biden said it did not mean a president once.
“We have spent almost no time building the bank in the Democratic Party,” Biden said, recalling his commitment to campaigning in states that are not consistently run by Democrats, including Georgia, North Carolina and Florida.
“In any state where we have competing people running for the House and the House and the legislature, it’s important that the Democratic Party invests there,” Biden continued. “Sa [what] I want to do is make sure this is over, we have a new First Chamber, we won state houses back, we are in a position where we are moving to a period to bring people to the visibility they need are to be able to lead nationally. And that’s about raising people. And that’s what I’m about. ‘
“That you leave the possibility open for eight years if you are elected?” Muir pressed.
“Absolutely,” Biden replied.
